Stage 1: In tandem with whom?
Emotivo – a platform where you can fulfil your dreams
Emotivo is a Polish enterprise created in 2009, based on its founders’ passion for unusual sports and outdoor activities. Emotivo sells vouchers for various attractions, ranging from parachute jumping, through dinners in the dark to spa rituals. Emotivo reached out to Tandemite and asked for help with creating a PIM system for the company’s extensive product base, as well as implementing a modern headless e-commerce platform.
Half a million dreams come true
Since its establishment, Emotivo has sold 500,000 gift vouchers.
A rich selection
Emotivo cooperates with 1500 partners across Poland, and its portfolio includes 7500 different activities.
Trust that builds commitment
Making dreams come true is a task that requires great responsibility, even with a 98% customer satisfaction rate.
Stage 2: where to?
The challenge
When the Emotivo team reached out to Tandemite, they already had an extensive and diverse product base and were cooperating with a host of service providers. However, their open-source platform no longer met their expectations, as managing the store and the company’s portfolio had become more and more challenging.
What did Emotivo need in order to continue growing?
Foremost, a personalized PIM system made it easier not only for the company to store and manage its product base, but also for the vendors to offer their services. Secondly, the company required a modern, headless online sales system based on Shopware 6.
Implementing the new infrastructure took many hours of work on both sides and close communication with our customer’s team of developers. We continuously synchronized our actions and used reliable tools, such as Slack, Google Meet, and Jira. We also took part in periodic offline training sessions.
Stage 3: moving forward
The process
As usual, we began with a pre-implementation analysis. After an in-depth examination of our customer’s business needs and all the nuances of their operations, we estimated the costs of the implementation. Once Emotivo accepted the costs, we moved on to the implementation phase, which was initially divided into two stages: Pimcore and Shopware.
The development work took about 10 months, over which we conducted over 20 sprints, iterating each functionality one by one. New business needs were revealed, and as a result, we added a new stage to the MVP: extensions for Pimcore and Shopware.
The development ended with the UAT, production start-up, and a transition into the maintenance phase.

Stage 4: the finish line
The solution
Over almost a year of cooperation with Emotivo, we created a comprehensive product management system that met all of our customer’s expectations. We also implemented a headless e-commerce system based on Shopware 6, which expanded our customer’s sales capacity even further.
The new systems support process automation, streamline operations and expand Emotivo's possibilities for cooperation, both with the providers and the audience for its services.
By reaching out to Tandemite, Emotivo has gained not only systems that support the company’s operations but also a partner who understands its business processes and can provide ongoing support with the company’s development.
